"K9 Arts Academy has brought me the whole-hearted joy found in canine companionship."

Shelley Forker and Berlin

K9 Arts Academy has brought me the whole-hearted joy found in canine companionship. Terry’s honest and detailed advisement has allowed my puppy and I to develop a strong bond, encompassing mutual respect, loyalty and love. The training we received has been nothing short of phenomenal. Terry makes you feel as though you are a member of his family. If you are looking for exceptional results in a fun environment, K9 Arts Academy will NOT disappoint!

"I was so fearful at the beginning. The dogs needed to be in muzzles around one another... Pursuing a trainer that could handle the difficulty level of our dogs was the BEST decision we ever made."

Christina and Joe

Elroy and Henley

Seymour, CT

Joe and I began dating in January 2021. He had Elroy (80 lbs. Pit Bull Rescue) and I had Henley (70 lbs Mountain dog/shepherd Rescue). We started off by taking the dogs on walks but it soon became clear that Elroy’s lack of socialization and Henley’s alpha behaviors along with the need to protect me, we were going to need some help! We were introduced to Terry at K9 Arts Academy through a mutual friend. Terry came for the initial consultation and was up front that it would be hard but if we put in the work we would get the results. I was so fearful at the beginning. The dogs needed to be in muzzles around one another. We did a lot of separation with crates. I honestly was afraid that Joe and I wouldn’t be able to pursue a relationship because our dogs wouldn’t get along! But then soon enough the crates were right next to one another, and then slowly we were able to take muzzles off. We did lots and lots of walks together and employed all the strategies that Terry worked with us on. Joe and I moved in together in November and the dogs are best friends! There is no need for muzzles. They can be left home alone together. They can even chew bones together. Meal times are always together.

Pursuing a trainer that could handle the difficulty level of our dogs was the BEST decision we ever made. We are always thinking about “working” our dogs with certain commands. Nothing comes for free as Terry always says! I know when we are slacking on our training purely by the dogs behaviors and reactions to certain things. Terry is always available for any questions we might have. I think the best thing we ever did was sign that contract with Terry at K9 Arts Academy. He has the confidence to deal with difficult problems and he has the right solutions. Now we are one happy family and it is the BEST feeling EVER!

"We couldn't have done it without Terry's expert guidance and direction."

Greg
Winston and Charlie

I have been working with Terry (k9 Arts Academy) for 6-8 months to train Winston (grey mimi-schnauzer) and Charlie (brown GSP-Lab mix). Charlie is a rescue who was very difficult at first. “Crazy Charlie” was his nickname because of his misbehaviors (and anxieties). Winston was never trained regularly, so he also had his challenges.

With regular practice, both dogs now know basic commands. Come, Sit, Down, Heel and “Place.”

Place is great, direct them to a specific “place” and they remain there. Great for dinner time!

We couldn’t have done it wihout Terry’s expert guidance and direction. He will demystify the whole training process for you and give you instructions specific to your dog(s).

He is a PRO!

"K9 Arts Academy helped all of us with Sage's fear and anxiety"

Heather and Kaitlin
Sage

K9 Arts Academy helped all of us with Sage’s fear and anxiety which got worse during the pandemic. Terry really knows how to work with rescue pups and we’re forever grateful for all of his commitment and expertise. The K9 Arts Academy family will forever be a part of TEAM SAGE!
