Who We Are

Master Dog Trainer Terry Haynie founded K9 Arts Academy in 2012. His passion for both dogs and people is evident from the moment you meet him.

I have been impressed with the intelligence, resilience and loyalty of our Canine friends ever since I was a small boy. In Adulthood I retired as a 767 Commercial Airline Captain with Federal Law Enforcement Credentials to study different methods of dog behavior and training, exciting my passion to work with dogs full time. I attended dog training school at National K9 in Ohio and Unleashed Potential in PEI , Canada. I have also attended many workshops offered by the International Association of Canine Professionals. (IACP)
I am grateful that I can work with individuals and families to build their best relationships with their canine family members. I have rehabilitated many dogs when the owners thought that rehoming or euthanasia was the only answer. It makes me so very happy to see these situations work out where these pups can live their best life with families that truly love them and gave them a chance.
All our clients become our friends at K9 Arts Academy. I look forward to working with you!
Sincerely, Terry
